Popsicle Therapy

Thank you to everyone who came out to our popsicle making class 7/17/17 - Here are all the recipes!

Ginger Turmeric Pineapple Popsicle

3 cup Organic Orange Juice

1 chunk Ginger (juiced)

2 teaspoon Turmeric

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

2 teaspoon Agave or Honey

1 cup Pineapple

1 tablespoon Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds and place in the freezer.

  2. After about 15-20 minutes the popsicles will be slightly set and firm enough to hold the popsicle sticks. Place a stick in each popsicle a few inches in, then return to the freezer and let set completely, at least a few hours.

Health Tips: Add cayenne pepper or cracked black pepper helps your body absorb the benefits of Turmeric. So if you are cooking with turmeric, be sure to add some black pepper to the food.

 

Coconut Blueberry Mint Popsicle

1 cup frozen blueberry

3 cups coconut milk

1 bunch fresh mint

5 tablespoons maple syrup/agave/honey

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Add coconut milk, sweetner, mint, ½ amount of blueberries into sauce pan. Let it simmer for 1-2 mins. Remove from heat let it cool. Pour into popsicle molds, add remainder of blueberries and place in the freezer.

  2. After about 15-20 minutes the popsicles will be slightly set and firm enough to hold the popsicle sticks. Place a stick in each popsicle a few inches in, then return to the freezer and let set completely, at least a few hours.

Watermelon Lavender Popsicle

6 cups watermelon

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Zest of 2 lemons

Dash of sea salt

¼ cup agave/honey/maple

5 drops Lavender Oil

Instructions

  1. In a blender add watermelon, lemon, zest, agave or sweetener, lavender oil, and dash of salt. Pour into popsicle molds, add remainder of blueberries and place in the freezer.

  2. After about 15-20 minutes the popsicles will be slightly set and firm enough to hold the popsicle sticks. Place a stick in each popsicle a few inches in, then return to the freezer and let set completely, at least a few hours.

Mexican Fudgesicle

4 Cups Almond Milk

¾ Cup Cacao Powder

¾ cup agave or maple syrup

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

½ teaspoon allspice

Instructions

  1. In a blender add almond milk, cacao powder, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Pour into saucepan and bring to simmer. Let it cool and pour into molds.

  2. After about 15-20 minutes the popsicles will be slightly set and firm enough to hold the popsicle sticks. Place a stick in each popsicle a few inches in, then return to the freezer and let set completely, at least a few hours.

Health Tips: Cacao is the purest form of chocolate you can consume, which means it is raw and much less processed than cocoa powder or chocolate bars. Cacao is thought to be the highest source of antioxidants of all foods and the highest source of magnesium of all foods. It has been used throughout many cultures for years for health purposes

 

Blueberry Basil-Sage Kombucha Pops

1cup fresh or frozen blueberries

1 cup Strawberry Sage Kombucha

4 fresh basil leaves

2 drops lemon essential oil

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth. Pour into popsicle molds and place in the freezer.
